Buy Local Month

Once a week-long celebration, now a month-long local extravaganza, Buy Local Month shares the economic impact buying local has with the public and serves as a showcase for the local, independent businesses that make the Lowcountry unique.

According to a recent study by the Institute for Local Self Reliance, in 2011 independent businesses in communities a Buy Local Campaign experienced an average sales increase of 7.2%! Independent businesses in communities without such a campaign only saw an average increase of 2.6%.

Join us for an evening of exclusive, after-hours shopping with local independent businesses on King Street. The Buy Local ShopMob will feature LLF members who will be offering one-night-only sales and deals, along with some local food and libations!

5:00 - 6:00: Check In (The Kickin' Chicken, 337 King)
Pick up your ShopMob tickets and shopping bag, and have a few drinks before heading out.

6:00 - 8:00: ShopMob
Explore a diverse array of local independent businesses. The ShopMob will span King Street from John Street to Broad Street.

LLF will be promoting holiday happenings, sales and other events at merchants' villages and shopping plazas where LLF members reside throughout the Lowcountry.
