Localist Card Business Participation Agreements
Lowcountry Local First (LLF) will provide a Quick Training Guide for your staff, including:
- How to identify and redeem a Localist Card
- How to explain the program to customers
- How to direct non-card holders to purchase (via in-store or LLF website)
Participating businesses agree to help LLF track the program’s impact by:
- Recording redemptions (via POS notes, discount codes, tally sheets, or staff logs)
- Submitting a brief annual report on usage (template provided by LLF) by November each year of participation
Promotion & Filming
Participating businesses agree to allow LLF staff to stop by during regular business hours to capture photo, video, and audio content for promotional purposes.
- LLF will schedule visits in advance with the business contact.
- Content created will be used to promote your business as part of the Localist Card program only.
Storefront Promotion
Participating businesses agree to display signage (created and provided by LLF) in their storefront promoting their involvement in the Localist Card program.
This may include:
- A sticker or decal in the front window
- A tent card or small sign by the register
- Some other visible indication, made in collaboration with LLF, that you are a participating partner
Changing Your Discount or Offering
Lowcountry Local First will send out a Google Form survey twice a year asking if you'd like to update your offering. You can either indicate to keep the offering the same or provide a new offering that will replace (not add to) your current offering. You can update your offering at any time, but we kindly ask that you consider waiting for this bi-annual survey to help maintain offering consistency for card holders.
Localist Card Opt-Out Policy
Once opted-in to this program, you will remain in this program until you opt-out or until your membership with LLF expires. You must remain an active member to participate. You may opt-out of the Localist Card program at any time by providing written notice to LLF. Your business will be removed from the online Localist Card directory and all digital promotional materials within 10 business days. LLF retains the right to remove your business in certain circumstances. Primarily this includes any acts or omissions by the Member which tarnishes the LLF brand or reputation.
