Good Connections is a referral-based business group powered by Lowcountry Local First, created for local business owners in the Charleston, South Carolina area who believe in growing stronger together through authentic, trust-based relationships.

The group meets twice a month, on the first and third Monday, with a clear and practical goal: to help members truly understand one another’s businesses, identify ideal customers, and actively generate meaningful referrals for one another.

At its core, Good Connections is about giving and receiving quality referrals. Through structured conversations and a professional, welcoming environment, members learn how to confidently represent fellow members and create connections that lead to real, measurable business opportunities. This is more than networking—it’s about building long-term business relationships rooted in trust, accountability, and local impact.

Once a month, members also benefit from a guest speaker or training session focused on topics essential to business growth, such as sales, marketing, finance, leadership, and other key areas. These sessions provide practical, relevant insights that strengthen individual businesses while supporting a more connected and resilient local economy.
