James is the owner and operator of Bon Banh Mi Southeast Asian Kitchen. Bon Banh Mi has three locations here in the lowcountry and specializes in a fast-casual approach to Southeast Asian cuisine. As a graduate of the College of Charleston, James spent his early career in food and beverage working with Homegrown Hospitality Group here in Charleston. Starting as a farmers market stand in Marion Square, Bon Banh Mi opened its first brick and mortar location in downtown Charleston in 2013 on Spring Street. Since then, Bon Banh Mi has opened two more locations in the Mount Pleasant area. When he is not at one of his restaurants, James is also an adjunct professor at the College of Charleston, teaching in the Hospitality and Tourism department.
