Art of Boxing USA

At the Art of Boxing we believe there is a champion within each one of us.

It is through this belief that our Founder and Head Coach, Othell Brown, brought AOB to life. Our lineage is one that is entirely ours.

Coach Brown’s first time in the boxing ring was in training for the World Kickboxing Tournament. It was then, and under the guidance of his lifelong coach and mentor, Coach Richard Chen, that he really began to understand the intricacies and dedicated himself to the sport.

We believe lineage is of utmost importance to the art of boxing; without it, we have nothing to tie ourselves to. And ours is one that is quite unique and exceptional. Our lineage extends back to Master Ip Man, who taught the art to Bruce Lee, and who taught Master Dan Inosanto, who then taught Coach Rich and passed down to our very own Coach Brown.

And it's through our method that we are creating a new kind of boxing club and a platform for athletes in the Charleston area.
