Vimcity, LLC is the strategy and operating company behind Nature at Work and the South Carolina Nature, Health & Business (SCNHB) Group—a statewide coalition advancing workforce wellbeing, community health, and sustainability through nature-based strategies.

Founded by public health leader Dr. Susan L. Johnson, Vimcity brings together employers, nonprofits, conservation organizations, higher education, municipalities, and service providers to address today’s most pressing challenges—burnout, disengagement, chronic disease, and environmental stress—by connecting people, places, and purpose.

Nature at Work is the public-facing initiative of the SCNHB Group, supporting organizations in integrating evidence-based, nature-informed approaches into workplace wellbeing, leadership development, community engagement, and environmental stewardship. Through programming, resources, events, and partnerships, Nature at Work helps align internal employee wellbeing efforts with broader commitments to healthy communities and environments.

The SCNHB Group serves as the membership and collaboration platform behind this work, convening a diverse, cross-sector network committed to elevating nature as a strategic asset for health, resilience, and economic vitality.

Vimcity also leads the South Carolina Healthy Business Coalition, an employer-focused network that evolved from the South Carolina Healthy Business Challenge. The Coalition strengthens connections between business, public health, and community partners, offering shared learning, recognition, and coordinated initiatives that support healthier workplaces and a healthier South Carolina.

At its core, Vimcity exists to build bridges—between business and nature, health and place, strategy and action—positioning South Carolina as a national leader in nature-based health promotion.
