From a Grandmother’s Recipe to a Mobile Breakfast Business: Lauren’s Kiva Journey
We’re excited to celebrate Busha’s Biscuits, a woman-owned mobile breakfast business in Summerville that raised $15,000 through Kiva with support from 600+ lenders.
Inspired by a beloved family biscuit recipe, Lauren spent the past year developing her menu, business plan and mobile food trailer. After investing personal savings and securing additional family support, she turned to Kiva to complete the trailer and prepare for opening.
The campaign’s success will help Busha’s Biscuits serve the Summerville community and beyond while turning a cherished family tradition into a new local business.
