A free family-friendly event designed for constituents from Charleston and North Charleston to meet their Mayoral candidates in a casual, fun & informal setting and have the opportunity to ask questions and share issues important to them. Thirteen of the 16 candidates have confirmed their attendance (as of 9/14).
This nonpartisan event will feature local food trucks, entertainment, activities & games and the opportunity to meet 20+ local community organizations working on issues like climate, housing, transit, and more.
This is the only Lowcountry mayoral candidate program of its kind - an event that is not a debate or forum and centers the community instead of those running for office. It’s the only program taking place before the Nov. 7 municipal elections that has intentionally invited all 16 Charleston and North Charleston mayoral candidates within a week of the filing deadline in August.
