Locally owned and operated, the newspaper took home more first place advertising awards in 2020 than any other newspaper in South Carolina (seven) and won the S.C. Press Association’s President’s Award for excellence. In the association’s most recent news contest, the City Paper won an additional 15 awards, including first place in three categories.
