Thanks to Community Support, The Beehive Bilingual School Is Growing
When local entrepreneurs have access to the resources they need to grow, the entire community benefits. That's why we're excited to celebrate the successful Kiva campaign of Macarena, founder of The Beehive Bilingual School.
After nearly a decade working in early childhood education, Macarena followed her dream of opening a licensed in-home childcare program serving families in rural South Carolina. Her vision has always extended beyond childcare. She believes every child deserves access to high-quality early education, regardless of their family's financial circumstances, and offers scholarships to help make that possible.
Now, thanks to the support of hundreds of community lenders, she's one step closer to making that vision a reality for even more families.
Macarena successfully raised $15,000 through Kiva to make the facility improvements needed to expand her childcare program, creating space for seven additional children. The funding also moves her closer to her long-term goal of opening a larger childcare facility that can serve even more families in her community.
