This event is part of a year-round educational institute partnership between Lowcountry Local First and the College of Charleston's MBA program.

Liza Vilnitz, Founder and CEO at Beyond Trending   

Liza Vilnits is the founder and CEO of Beyond Trending, a public relations agency that specializes in helping companies increase their exposure through powerful storytelling. The agency’s clients have been featured in top-tier publications like TechCrunch, Fortune, Forbes, WSJ and others. From publicly-traded cybersecurity companies to vegan pet food brands, Liza has led PR campaigns for B2B and B2C clients, large and small, for more than a decade. Prior to founding Beyond Trending in 2020, she honed her communications and media relations skills at agencies including PR Hacker, Momentum Marketing and CHEN PR. She also provided marketing and communications support to nonprofits like The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and The Nature Conservancy. Liza sits on the board of IMPACT, a Charleston nonprofit that mentors youth through exposure and experiences, and she frequently fundraises for local and national organizations. When she’s not working to get her client featured in the press, you can usually find her at the beach with her husband and daughter, enjoying live music or daydreaming about her next international adventure. 

           

 

Michael Gasser, Co-Owner at Squeeze Marketing   

Michael is a Military Veteran, is the Co-Owner of and Director of Client Strategy at Squeeze Marketing, the Director of Product Development at Pollen, and the head of the Crowdreach Holdings Advisory Board. Michael graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2006, and served for 10 years as an Airborne Infantry Officer. Michael entered the marketing industry to leverage emerging marketing platforms and connect businesses with their customers to facilitate growth. By building effective digital marketing strategies, Michael and Squeeze Marketing understand the current digital landscape and have a track record of success and unique business growth strategies for their clients.
